Everything I expected from a Sony by Douglas L. Singletary
The unit was remarkably easy to set up and the sound quality is great. The programmability is also great - the only caveat there is that since HDMI is expected to carry sound as well as video, a separate sound source can't be associated with an HDMI video-only source (I was trying to set up a DVI-I video signal from my PC which, perhaps because it is an older model, doesn't also carry sound. Ah well). Other than that small inconvenience, this unit has been a joy to own.



Oh, one other inconvenience: of course the remote is only marginally cross-compatible, even with other Sony devices. But that's why the Tech Gods made universal remotes.
